Features
This transceiver is functionally identical to the Cisco DWDM-SFP-5979, supporting data links of up to 1.25Gb/s. It operates effectively over distances of up to 80km using 9/125µm G.652D single mode fiber. Designed to work on the 100GHz ITU Grid in the C Band, it includes Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for improved diagnostics and troubleshooting. It is compatible with DWDM MUX/DEMUX systems, allowing for a combined DWDM fiber solution that can significantly lower the costs associated with fiber leasing or installation.
